Guide to Polish phonecards obverses

First, in order to prevent misunderstandings, the small explanation: the phonecard obverse means (for the Polish phonecards) the side of the phonecard with number of units or the phonecard's value. For the phonecards issued by TP S.A. (main Polish operator) this means the side with magnetic strip or chip.

Until a certain moment all Polish phonecard obverses were standard ones. But that standard was modified from time to time, so there are a few "standard" obverses that differ in the following details:

Magnetic phonecards
Width of magnetic strip (apply to all magnetic obverses)
 s thick magnetic stripethick magnetic stripe (12 mm)
 w thin magnetic stripethin magnetic stripe (6 mm)
 z thin magnetic stripe on the obverse designed for thick stripethin magnetic stripe on the obverse designed for thick stripe - obverse with such stripe is only on the one version of phonecard number 75 with Zamosc market square (only 1300 phonecards of that rare version was issued)
